A festival for the whole community
The Mississippi Watermelon Festival welcomes visitors to Mize for festival entertainment, food, vendors, pageantry, contests, special events, and watermelon.
The festival is supported by the Mize Volunteer Fire Department and staffed by volunteer firefighters and their families. That community involvement is an important part of what makes the festival distinctly Mize.
Looking toward 2027
The new website is being built as the central source for official festival information. As plans are finalized, this is where visitors will find dates, admission information, entertainment, schedules, event registration, vendor applications, and announcements.
